BACKGROUND STORY
We as a team already had deep interest in NFTs since 2018 and we were always searching for the right moment and the right idea to finally launch our own project.
When Proton launched, we immediately recognized its potential.
Everyone of us bought their first Proton based NFTs, the monsters, with FOOBAR demo tokens.
As months passed and there was still no auction system for NFTs available on other marketplaces, we made ourselfs familiar with the AtomicAssets and AtomicMarket contracts.
And so we built it!
At the same time Marshall commented with an epic statement in the “ProtonWhales Community” channel on Telegram:
“Keep calm and understand the power of soon.”
And so “Power of Soon” and “Soon.Market” was born.
On October 10, 2021 we announced our first NFT auction - “PowerOfSoon Cypherpunk”.
A special edition created by 0xCypherpunk.
This first XPR auction ever on Proton ended on October 17, 2021 and the NFT was sold for the incredible amount of 259,400 XPR (~10,000 USD).
In February 2022, we were thrilled to finally open the doors for everybody to host and participate in NFT auctions on Soon.Market!
Meanwhile, a lot of progress has been made and we introduced full NFT marketplace capabilities. In addition to that, our SOON SPOT NFTs can be used to promote any NFT auction or NFT collection on the front page of Soon.Market!
